My practice offers a sliding scale to make therapy accessible while allowing me to maintain a sustainable living wage. Rooted in equity and collective care, this approach recognizes that financial capacity is shaped by more than income — including factors like dependents, inherited wealth or debt, cost of living, and social location. The goal is to offer care that honors both the real costs of therapy and the unequal distribution of resources in our society, fostering a balance of accessibility, sustainability, and mutual respect.
Tier 1 — Community Sustainer
Couples: $325 per session
Individuals: $225 per session
If you are financially and socially well-positioned — through income, assets, or inherited wealth — and can comfortably pay a higher fee, this tier helps make therapy accessible to others with fewer resources. Contributing at this level supports equitable access by subsidizing reduced-rate sessions. Choosing this tier reflects a recognition of your social and financial positioning and a commitment to collective care within our practice community.
Tier 2 — Standard Rate
Couples: $280 per session
Individuals: $180 per session
You are able to meet your basic needs, save, and afford some comforts such as travel or leisure without significant financial stress. You may not have inherited wealth or extensive assets, but you experience overall financial stability. Paying this rate sustains the practice and helps maintain the sliding scale for those with fewer financial or social resources.
Tier 3 — Accessible Rate
Couples: $220 per session
Individuals: $140 per session
You meet your basic needs but have limited expendable income. You may be paying off debt, managing dependents, or saving carefully. Paying at this rate represents a meaningful investment in your well-being but does not create significant financial strain. This tier honors both your commitment to therapy and your current financial reality.
Tier 4 — Supported Rate
Couples: $180 per session
Individuals: $110 per session
You may find it challenging to meet basic needs or to afford consistent therapy without reduced fees. You might be supporting dependents, managing medical or caregiving costs, have limited or no inherited wealth, or belong to a community historically marginalized in access to resources. This tier is made possible by those paying at higher levels and reflects a collective ethic of care and accessibility.
If you’re unsure where you fall on the scale, we can have a brief conversation to find a rate that feels right for you and sustainable for the practice. If your circumstances fall outside these tiers, please reach out — I hold a small number of pro-bono or further reduced-rate sessions, made possible through the generosity of those paying at higher levels.
